BSL-3 HVAC Mechanical Suite
Germfree provides primary and secondary containment within mobile and modular laboratories that serve as the foundation to support BSL-3 operations (BSL-3 labs also require proper procedures and administrative controls). Germfree will partner with you to develop proper primary containment enclosures (Biological Safety Cabinets) as well as the secondary containment configuration of the BSL-3 laboratory.
The most complex component of a BSL-3 Laboratory is the HVAC mechanical suite. In many parts of the world the trades necessary to build this do not exist. Germfree has a complete in house engineering team specializing in the unique requirements of BSL-3 Laboratories.
Germfree's BSL-3 HVAC mechanical suites are provided through our single source for engineering and manufacturing. Our engineering team follows the project from conception through installation and commissioning. These suites also eliminate the need for numerous onsite contractors and corresponding coordination, thereby simplifying the construction process.

- Air Conditioning and heating equipment that is locally serviceable in the region of installation
- Supply air filtration housings
- All welded stainless steel plenums and ductwork - Helium leak tested
- Constant or variable air volume control (CAV or VAV) valves
- Building Automation Systems (BAS) for the complete laboratory
- Exhaust HEPA filtration housings with shut off valves and decontamination ports
- Exhaust blowers
- Engineering for properly sized system
