The Class I Biosafety Hood is a ventilated cabinet with an inward face velocity to protect the operator provide HEPA exhaust air-filtration of all air leaving the cabinet. The Class I BSC provides personnel and environmental protection.

Class I, Ventilated Workstations with HEPA Exhaust

Germfree offers Ventilated Workstations or TB Hoods. Our line of Ventilated Workstations, when combined with our optional HEPA Exhaust Filtration Units, function as a Class I Biological Safety Cabinet. With this configuration, all air exiting the cabinet is HEPA-filtered.

NOTE: The Class I BSC provides personnel and environmental protection. However these units do not provide the product protection that is offered by Class II Biological Safety Cabinets. For high containment applications, we design and manufacture a complete line of Custom Class III Biological Safety Cabinets.
