The Class II, Type A Vertical Laminar Flow Biological Safety Cabinet provides protection for the user, product and the environment from particulate and aerosol hazards. The work area is continuously bathed with positive pressure ISO 5/Class 100 HEPA filtered air to protect the product from contamination while an inward airflow protects the user. Approximately 70% of the air from each cycle is recirculated though the supply HEPA filter while the remaining air is discharged from the hood through the exhaust HEPA filter. The BBF Series of Biological Safety Cabinets pass the Biological Tracer Containment Tests of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the National Cancer Institute (NCI) and the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF). All units are NRTL listed with MET Labs to comply with UL1262.
The Class II, Type B, Vertical Laminar Flow Biological Safety Cabinet provides protection for the user and the product from particulate, gases/fumes and aerosol hazards. The work area is continuously bathed with positive pressure ISO 5/Class 100 HEPA-filtered air while creating a negative pressure airflow into the cabinet to provide user protection. All of the air entering the cabinet is ducted/vented to the outside of the building. The BTE Series of Biological Safety Cabinets pass the Biological Tracer Containment Tests of the National Institute of Health (NIH), the National Cancer Institutes (NCI) and the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF).
The Class II Laminar Flow Biological Safety Cabinet, or Biosafety Cabinet, combines product, operator and environmental protection. It was developed to provide protection from diverse types of biohazardous material. Germfree designs, engineers and manufactures portable and custom Biosafety Cabinets for any application. Class II Biological Safety Cabinets can be specially designed to accommodate all sizes of laboratory equipment. The laminar flow biological safety cabinet was developed to provide protection for product, personnel and environment from the hazards of particulates and aerosols generated by the handling of low-to-moderate risk solids and liquids.
Germfree manufactures Robotic Safety Enclosures to provide biological safety for specialized robotic applications. These high capacity Class II Biosafety Enclosures are ideal for applications that utilize high-speed or high-volume robotic equipment. Germfree’s Robotic Enclosure Workstations provide the functionality and level of operator and product protection that is similar to a Class II Biological Safety Cabinet, while providing a deeper work deck and higher interior.
