The walk-though explains the range of features, equipment and environmental zones provided in the USP 797/USP 800 compounding pharmacy.

Interior Materials and Design: Arcoplast wall panels throughout the cleanroom to provide a seamless interior; panels with sealed, coved corners to provide a long service life and withstand frequent cleaning, sanitizing and gas decontamination; walls with large viewing panels separating the Hazardous Drug Room and the Buffer Room from the Anteroom; Medintech vinyl seamless floors coved up the walls for ease of cleaning and spill control.

Security and Access:

Keyless entry main door; security system and external/internal cameras with DVR; voice, data and Internet connectivity

Fresh and grey water tanks for storage and waste

On-board diesel electrical generator with transfer switch for immediate back up electrical power

Compounding Pharmacy Anteroom

The Anteroom of the turnkey pharmacy has HEPA filtration that provides ISO Class 7 and/or Class 8 air quality.

Hands-free sink with instant-hot water heater

Bench seat, rack for PPE storage

Compounding Pharmacy Positive Pressure Buffer Room

The Buffer Room for sterile preparation is positive pressure in relation to the Anteroom with HEPA filtration providing ISO Class 7 air quality.

Vertical Laminar Airflow Workstations with bottom air intake.

Cleanroom-quality refrigerator, optional freezer.

Stainless Steel storage shelves and work tables for durability and ease of cleaning.

Stainless Steel storage racks with configurable locations.

Air Returns placed low on the wall to provide sweeping, unilateral air movement.

HEPA filtered pass-through into the office area. This minimizes the possibility of transferring particles from the office into the ISO 7 Buffer Room.

Compounding Pharmacy Negative Pressure Buffer Room Designed for Handling Hazardous Drugs

The Hazardous Drug Room of the turnkey pharmacy is negative pressure in relation to the Anteroom.

Adjacent Anteroom provides ISO Class 7 air quality.

Two Class II, Type A2 Biological Safety Cabinets that are externally vented to the outside of the Pharmacy Trailer.

Cleanroom-quality refrigerator, optional freezer.

Stainless Steel storage shelves and work tables for durability and ease of cleaning.

Stainless Steel storage racks with configurable locations.
