Chemical Agent Laboratory
Germfree provided a state of the art mobile chemical laboratory in a 45’ gooseneck trailer for the Defense Research & Development Canada – Suffield (DRDC). This was the chemical lead for the 2010 Winter Olympics and served as a Canadian Army, chemical analysis laboratory. The laboratory was engineered to handle the heat load of multiple GC-MS and recycle the heat when the out-door temperatures are down to -40°C. Due to the High Visibility of the Olympics and the overwhelming international attendance, the Canadian Military wanted to make sure they had a high level of analytical capabilities on site. The mission involved collecting air samples on an hourly basis all across the city to be brought back to this mobile lab for analysis.
