Facilities/Equipment: The Modular cGMP Cleanroom solution includes a 350 ft² ISO Class 7 Cleanroom with HEPA filtration, temperature and humidity control, laminar flow hoods, cleanroom benches, pass-through chambers, and ergonomic workstations, all integrated by Germfree.

The challenge

Valley Biomedical, a leading provider of biological products and services, sought to expand their cleanroom capabilities to enhance their production efficiency and meet growing demands. They engaged Germfree for the design and construction of a Modular cGMP Cleanroom solution.

The answer

Germfree designed and constructed a single-box, Modular cGMP Cleanroom solution to complement Valley Biomedical’s existing facilities. The unit created approximately 600 ft² (gross) of Modular Laboratory space, including roughly 350 ft² of cGMP Cleanroom space.

The modular solution was constructed at Germfree’s state-of-the-art facility in Ormond Beach, Florida, ensuring all cGMP areas and associated operations meet US and EU standards. Once completed, the unit was delivered to Valley Biomedical’s location in Winchester, Virginia.

The implementation of the Modular Cleanroom solution has significantly boosted Valley Biomedical’s production capabilities. The new cGMP lab space has allowed for increased throughput and efficiency, enabling Valley Biomedical to better serve their customers’ needs. By meeting stringent US and EU standards, the facility ensures high-quality production in a controlled, compliant environment. This project underscores Germfree’s commitment to providing cutting-edge, turnkey solutions that meet the rigorous demands of the biopharmaceutical industry.
